Thank you for the hurt
for controlling me
looking like philanthropy
thank you for not loving me
I learned to love myself
and found my holiness abound
thank you for rejecting me
the fear in your eyes
only showed me my greatness
thank you for disrespecting me
I learned to shout and scream
until I am heard and I'm seen
thank you for the abuse, the lies, the manipulation
the fire of my heart did not die
my power is my love and my crown
I am royalty
I am the divine
I am I am I am
miraculously, expansively, unapologetically
all I've ever wanted to be.
