What a Relationship with God Really Feels Like

A concern I often hear as a spiritual life coach is the difficulty in discerning or being totally clear about what the voice of God is. There is a distrust of spiritual guidance because of the confusion this brings. Allow me to share with you what a relationship with God really feels like to get a better idea of how to trust it is God speaking to you.

Trust what you "see"

Oftentimes God speaks to us through images, synchronicities, intuitive nudging, and dreams. There is a vibration in your body of confirmation and inner knowing. The key here is to observe whether there is a calm, peaceful, feeling in your body. Sometimes you may feel energized, such as in a kundalini awakening experience – but this is very different than feeling anxious or scared. God energy is not anxiety, fear, or sadness. When God speaks to you, there will be an inner stillness, a deeper trust in yourself, and a remembrance that everything will be okay. Some people do occasionally auditorily hear the voice of God, but this is often very rare, as the spiritual realm does not want to overhelm your human vessel. Instead, your body may pick up on high frequencies, such as ringing in the ears, flashes of lights or orbs, repeating numbers, warmth, and serendipitous moments. 

God is kind

Many people are afraid of God and they do not even know it! These people do not want to be seen by God because of guilt or shame they carry within. They are afraid of the consequences of their actions that God may punish them with. But the truth is, God loves each of us unconditionally. This means that each of us has the choice to love God or not. God simply just loves us. However, if someone chooses to not love God in return, they are then choosing to live realities without the presence of God. This means to live life without divine protection, love, blessings, peace and so on. It is individual choice to live this way. Even further, if a human dies in this lifetime without ever coming to peace or acceptance of God, they may remain in purgatory, in the ghostly realm… in reflection and observation of their lifetime… choosing their desired reality once again: to reincarnate and heal the karma, or continue to reject divine love; to embody fear, hate, violence, and chaos as a fractured, disembodied soul… no longer the soul that God has created, but rather a soul that has been self-destructed… now sold off for dark energies to consume and exploit. The good news is, God is gracious and merciful and sends us angels throughout our journey to guide and protect us. Even when the soul chooses their own personal hell, God still sends angels and guides to recover and reclaim that soul. 

God is easy to reach

It is not as difficult as it may seem to be in communication with the Divine. God sees you and hears your heart, even when you are not praying to be heard. Prayer is meant for embodiment of one's faith, but sometimes we just want to be seen and to feel the presence of God. God is with us in awareness at every moment. If you ever feel like you have to bargain, beg, or purchase God’s love and support, you are not in alignment with God energy. Any time you feel like there is a cost, or a moral sacrifice in discussion with God, it is likely that you are not speaking to God at all! It is true that God sometimes will not reveal the future to us, or give us an answer to our deepest longing. This is for our spiritual growth! Though God may empower and strengthen our patience, faith, and devotion in this way, this does not mean that we are living without the fruits of the divine spirit… in other words peace and abundance for example are always accessible to us as long as we shift our attention and focus upon them. 

God should be our number one priority and relationship, and this is how we remain within the love of the Divine. However, it is natural for the human to incline towards destruction. If that happens, forgive yourself and realign back to unconditional love, to God energy. Remember, you are never forgotten and are never alone in this journey.
